Verse 19: 8 words

絕聖棄智,
Discard sacred knowledge,
民利百倍;
The people are a hundred times better off;
絕仁棄義,
Discard moral righteousness,
民復孝慈;
The people return to duty and compassion.
絕巧棄利,
Discard quick profit,
盜賊無有;
The thieves have nothing.
此三者,以為文不足。
To execute these three, words are not enough.
故令有所屬,
So what we should belong to today:
見素抱樸
Meeting plainness, embracing simplicity
少私寡欲。
Refusing selfishness, rejecting desires.

Comments
Lao Zi hilariously stops himself from talking to much. Much of this is reflecting on verse 18.
